Frequently asked questions about 3D printing

Have an idea for a new product or need help bringing it to life?We are here to help – from 3D modelling and scanning to 3D printing and scale models.Find answers to the most frequently asked questions here.

Price and lead times

How much does 3D printing cost?

The price depends on the part's volume, the material, the technology and the quantity, so the exact price is set after reviewing the 3D model. Send us an STL or STEP file and request a quote.

How long does production take?

Single parts are usually ready in 2 to 3 working days; small series take roughly 5 to 10 working days, depending on quantity and technology. Lead times are approximate and confirmed in the quote. Urgent production is possible by arrangement.

Model and quote

What do I need to get a quote?

Send a 3D model in STL, STEP, OBJ or IPT format, together with the part's purpose, the quantity and your preferred deadline. If you don't have a 3D model, you can send a sketch, technical drawing or photo — we can also help create the 3D model.

I don't have a 3D model, just a part or an idea. What now?

We can 3D scan an existing part and build a model from the scan through reverse engineering. From a sketch or technical drawing we create a parametric 3D model. The specific solution depends on the project's requirements.

3D printing technologies

Which technology should I choose: FDM, SLA or SLS?

FDM suits larger, simpler parts and cost-effective prototypes. SLA enables very fine details and smooth surfaces. SLS suits strong functional parts with complex geometry and small series. If you are not sure which technology fits your project, describe the part's purpose and we will suggest a solution.

Materials and mechanical properties

Which material is best for my part?

The choice of material depends on load, operating temperature, sun exposure and contact with chemicals. For mechanically loaded parts, nylon and composites reinforced with carbon or glass fibre may be suitable. ASA can be considered for outdoor use, and TPU for flexible parts. The final choice depends on the application conditions and project requirements.

Small series and production

Do you produce small series?

Yes. 3D printing is suitable for small series, from a few dozen to a few hundred pieces, when it makes technical and economic sense. In some cases it can be faster and more cost-effective than making tooling and moulds.

Accuracy and dimensions

How accurate are 3D-printed parts?

Accuracy depends on the technology, material, geometry and production conditions. For parts that are assembled, state the critical dimensions and required tolerances, and we will suggest the technology and production method that suit them best.

What is the largest part you can print?

It depends on the technology: up to 500 × 500 × 500 mm with FDM, up to 335 × 200 × 300 mm with SLA and up to 165 × 165 × 300 mm with SLS. If the part is larger than the build volume, printing it in several segments and joining them can be considered, depending on the design.

Delivery

Do you ship parts outside Novi Sad?

Yes. We ship finished parts throughout Serbia.

Confidentiality

Do you keep my models confidential?

We use files and technical documentation solely to process the enquiry and carry out the agreed project.
